Hospital Survival Kit

I am going to be an Aunt and I couldn't be happier about it! I am counting down the days, as I am sure the Mama to be is as well! October is just around the corner though. I promise :)

I came across this adorable idea from Jen at My Own Road for a hospital survival kit. I love this idea and how wonderful is Jen she included a printable for the front of the kit. I looked at what she included and then added a few of my own pieces based off of my experiences in the hospital.

Below is my take on the hospital survival kit.  Enjoy!

Chapstick for when your lips get dry, have to have soft lips to kiss the new baby.
Ponytail holders for all the pushing
Socks to keep your feet warm.
Cup and lemonade- hospital water sucks and they give you tiny cups.
Shampoo again because the hospital supply is yucky!
Nipple Cream- lets be honest the first few times it hurts!
Toothbrush and toothpaste- just in case
Kisses- who couldn't use a kiss every now and then?
Granola Bars- have to have a "healthy snack" to keep your strength up!

Who wouldn't love a little kit to make welcoming baby all the better?

Since you can't give the new Mama a gift without the baby, I added in a Wishes for baby note.

Dear Baby,

I hope you learn to
I hope you aren't afraid
I hope you love
I hope you get
I hope you laugh
I hope you never forget
I hope you ignore
I hope you never forget
I hope you become
I hope you respect
I hope you grow

using those beginnings, I filled out a note to my new niece.
What would you put into your kit?
