One of my dearest friends, is taking her daughter to Disney World and when she told me about it, I instantly thought, COUNTDOWN!!!! Then it hit me, why not use the paint chips that I have in my craft bin. When I painted Peanut's room a few years ago, I picked up a ton of the Disney paint chips with the Mickey Mouse shaped head.
I laid out the chips to figure out the colors and the layout. Once, I figured out the color layout, I took out my cricket and cut out the numbers 1-20 and the words: Countdown to Disney. I had some scrap pieces of scrapbook paper, so I was able to use five different pieces to create the numbers.
The countdown chart was very easy to make, I cut out all of the numbers and matched them onto the paint chips in which I thought would look nice. I glued the numbers and then using double stick tape, stuck up the paint chips starting with 20 and going down to 1.
I just love how it turned out and how easy it was. Using things I had from around the house, I was able to only spend one dollar and that was to mail it to my friend!
Happy Disney Countdown!
